Phoenix Suns guard Dillon Brooks broke his left hand in a home victory over the Orlando Magic on Saturday and will be out for an extended time, ESPN reported Saturday night.

Brooks left with 4:46 remaining in the first quarter with a left-hand injury and did not return. Phoenix went on to beat the Magic 113-110 in double overtime. He did not play in a loss at San Antonio on Thursday while serving a one-game suspension.

He collected five points and three rebounds in seven minutes against the Magic.

Brooks, 30, entered the game averaging a career-best 21.2 points as well as 3.7 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.1 steals and 31.1 minutes in 49 games (all starts) in his first season with Phoenix. The rebound average matches his career high from last season with the Houston Rockets.

That wasn’t the only injury news for the Suns, who announced before the game that All-Star guard Devin Booker will miss at least one week due to the right hip strain that occurred during the second quarter of Thursday’s game against the Spurs.

Booker will be re-evaluated after one week to dissect the amount of progress he’s making. No timetable for a return to action has been set.

He sat out for the ninth time in 12 games when Phoenix hosted Orlando. The five-time All-Star missed seven straight games during the stretch due to a sprained right ankle.

The Suns also indicated that guard Haywood Highsmith (right knee) will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks. Highsmith was recently signed by the team.
